Final Fantasy VII Remake is just under two months away, but we thought you might want to see just a little more before you get your hands on it for real.We have some brand new screenshots from the game to show you — take a look: Red XIIIWhat is Red XIII? As he himself says: “I am that which you see before you. Nothing more.”He may look like a beast, with his red fur, sharp fangs and tail of flames, but Red XIII is as eloquent as any human. He has been captured by Shinra for use as a test subject, and is being held in Hojo’s scientific facility.
Speaking of the sinister scientist HojoThis enigmatic figure is the Director of Shira Electric Power Company’s Research and Development Division. He creates various biological weapons for the company, and he’s not bound by notions of morality.Hojo will not hesitate to take a life if his experiments demand it. In a previous collaborative role, he performed special surgery on soldiers to increase their physical strength, giving birth to the elite SOLDIERS. Tifa in battle – the basicsNext we’ll look at one of the main heroes, and how she operates in battle. Tifa Lockhart is a swift fighter, who uses her martial arts to damage enemies. She can combo fast attacks with repeated presses of the □ button, and unleash unique abilities by pressing △.In the following screenshots, we can see her unleashing some of those skills.Whirling Uppercut: Tifa launches an enemy into the air with an upwards strike.Omnistrike: Tifa smacks into her foe with a powerful shoulder slam.Rise and Fall: Tifa attacks with a series of brutal kicks, and finishes with a powerful striking fist. Tifa’s Battle AbilitiesWhen Tifa’s ATB bar is filled by attacking enemies, she can use a special ability.
Consolidation purposes and all; we can't play Final Fantasy XIII on the PS4, as far as I know. Plus, it'll be giving Final Fantasy XIII a second chance for fans. Final Fantasy XIII will a decade old in 2019, a perfect time to release an enhanced remaster for whatever system would work for it. Buy Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII by Square Enix for PlayStation 3 at GameStop. Find release dates, customer reviews, previews, and more.
These screenshots show a couple of them in action:Tifa’s True Strike move hits the enemy in front of her with a swift attackShe can also finish off an enemy with an intensely powerful dive kick. Materia and WeaponsHere’s a look at some of the Materia and weapons you’ll be able to use in Final Fantasy VII Remake:Healing Materia lets you use spells like Cure and Cura. In the screenshot above, we can see Aerith using Regen – a spell that will gradually heal its target for a while. The Deadly Dodge Materia turns any attack made after evading an attack into a powerful melee strike. Any character can use it – not just Cloud. When you equip a weapon, it will be reflected in your character’s appearance in and out of battle.
This image is a reimagined version of a fan-favorite – we think the team nailed it! Mercenary QuestsCloud can help out the many people across Midgar, including local merchants. These tasks are varied — he’ll be asked to deal with anything, from taking out troublesome monsters to finding lost cats.In this quest, Cloud is asked to deal with some Drakes.
He’ll get valuable rewards for completing the task. Battle ReportMeet Chadley, a 15-year-old Research trainee, working under Professor Hojo. He’s researching new types of Materia, and needs a little help from Cloud. You can collect Battle Report quests from Chadley in the Sector 7 slums. He’ll ask you to achieve various requirements, such as making a certain number of enemies burst or use Assess Materia a certain number of times.Complete these tasks, and he’ll develop more Materia that you can buy.SummonsThe Chocobo Chick may look cute, but don’t be fooled — its magical attacks pack a serious punch! It’s included when you preorder any edition of Final Fantasy VII Remake. This is Carbuncle — a mystical creature with a ruby attached to its forehead. It uses this gem to bestow a variety of powers on its allies.
You’ll get this summon if you preorder the Digital Deluxe Edition from PlayStation Store.Cactuar! This vacant-faced cactus can fire off thousands of needles at a time.
You’ll get Cactuar when you preorder the Deluxe Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition, or 1st Class Editions of the game. EnvironmentsIn Final Fantasy VII Remake, iconic locations from the original game have been recreated with amazing modern graphics. Not only that, there will be additional areas that you couldn’t get to in the original.Let’s take a look at a couple of areas:The Mako Reactor sucks out Mako from the core of the planet. It’s then turned into electricity or liquid gas for cities — though it’s also used to produce Materia and for other research. The Shinra Electric Power Company has a monopoly on the resource, and have set up various Mako reactors across the world. However, some question the safety of this, and there have been confirmed cases of accidents in reactors at remote locations. The Corkscrew Tunnel connects the slum streets to the nicer living areas on top of Midgar’s plates.
The tunnel coils upwards in a giant corkscrew through the center of Midgar. Passengers on the train carriages are always checked for ID and movement between cars is closely monitored. When an intruder is discovered, military-grade weapons are deployed and intruders are dealt with quickly.Final Fantasy VII Remake releases for PlayStation 4 on April 10, 2020.
To preorder, head to. Is it just me or does it seem like some of the screenshots that seem like benign images showing off the game these past months, have had locations outside of midgar. With enemies from outside midgar.
Enemies from as far as wutai and locations as far as the gongaga reactor and Cosmo canyon. I swear one location is from that reactor near coral/costal del Sol.I’m expecting the game to end just short of kalm, but there seems to be evidence that there is more. Which would make me insanely happy.
Maybe someone at square can dash my hopes early. Carbuncle and Cactaur weren’t available as summons in the original so they’re extra. Now, if they had put Knights of the Round or Ifrit or any other summon from the original behind paywalls, that would be. I generally dislike pre order bonuses as a concept though. Some people like to wait to make sure the game is any good before committing money so they dont get burned (No Man’s Sky?). Borderlands 3 had “early purchaser” bonus, which I liked.
Either preorder or buy within a month of release, you get the bonus. What happened to Carbuncle?!
Square Enix not only did I find that the Final Fantasy XV Carby was not really nice this one sure is undeniably a total awful waste! Man I miss my Final Fantasy XI Carby sooo much this one it looks like you folks asked the guys who made the 1st SONIC from the movie to create this one. Please reconsider I don’t care if it means pushing the game further back to this summer or whatsoever but please DON’T DO THIS TO CARBY!!!#AwfulCarby #MegaMindCarby #1stSonicMovieCarby.
Does everything have to have a particle effect on it? Only things that should have particle effects is summons and magic, Tifa’s punches and clouds nail bat should not be creating fireworks,a lot of the pictures you can hardly see the enemy design because there’s so much firework particle effects in front of them! If they insist on it then atleast turn it way down for the regular attacks,it’s sort of overdoing it like some kinda kingdom hearts attraction.and the ground textures are sorta last gen looking.
But that ones just a nitpick, everything else looks amazing so far. Carbuncle looks bad. This is the kind of. that makes me really worried about this game.

They show their true colors every now and then and this is horrific looking. I am a huge FF7 fan from the past and the original game is literally my favorite game of all time. Simple stuff like this is easy to get right. Did anyone complain about ff15 Carbuncle? Did anyone complain about FF9 Carbuncle? Why in the holy hell would you make such an asinine looking character?
Especially when you’ve gotten it right in the past?PLEASE FIX.
During Microsoft’s X018 event in Mexico City this past weekend, the company that several games would be added to the backward compatibility program for Xbox One, including the polarizing trilogy that is Final Fantasy XIII. All three of the games – Final Fantasy XIII, XIII-2, and Lightning Returns– are not only visually enhanced for the Xbox One X, but the backward compatibility team over at Microsoft managed to “acquire and include all of the original cutscene assets at a much higher visual quality than previously available on Xbox 360.”This quote comes from Jason Ronald who works as the senior director of program management over at Xbox. Not only is FINAL FANTASY XIII enhanced for Xbox One X, through close partnership with our friends at Square Enix, the back compat team was able to acquire and include all of the original cutscene assets at a much higher visual quality than previously available on Xbox 360.— Jason Ronald (@jronald)This is the first time that all three games from Square Enix’s trilogy have been “re-released” in any sort of matter. They have been “stuck” on PS3 and Xbox 360 since they’ve released so having this suped-up version of the game available for no cost at all – besides paying for the original disc– is quite impressive. Now, Square Enix nor Microsoft has mentioned that these titles are remastered or upgraded ports at all, but looking at how beautiful the game looks on Xbox One X, it seems that playing the trilogy in this manner is the best way to go.If you would like to see the game running in 4K, feel free to check out this video that we found.
